This was the earliest series in BEARÖMIXX.

Before I began painting them, I drew inspiration from my daily life and made sketches of several original characters in notebooks. All of these were black and white charcoal works. Suddenly, one day, I felt the urge to fill them with colors. Consequently, I began painting with acrylics that I used when I attended college in Japan.

Following the “sketching without any thoughts first and then developing into other works” workflow became the most important, basic creative process behind the BEARÖMIXX works. I continue creating art in this way.
